I have wondered where the source in the Bible this language gives millions of Christians and Jews the “right” to murder Gazans. Thank you.

The gospel of Matthew says “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven”…there’s a lot to understand and interpret in the Bible… but they might want to revisit the 10 Commandments… “thou shalt not murder” seems pretty unambiguous. And finish with “Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’”

Once again, not ambiguous at all.

When you responsibly and through facts respond to the most ridiculous posts and outright lies to the left. All you do is play into their hands of the deceitful, evil, horrible human beings.

I understand it, but you must know you are dealing with the most corrupt people who celebrate the death of anybody that disagrees with them.

What you are seeing now is the left in the death throws of irrelevancy and that is why they are desperate.

what i see is you characterizing a whole heritage of humanity as inhuman, not just a few. People who have nothing to do with the corrupt opinions and acts of their gov't, just like many people in the US are not responsible for the tyrant in charge of the white house right now. You, will answer to your maker one day for these comments.

What does this mean for the Democratic Party, which is itself deeply underwater in the polls and even less popular than President Trump? It clearly means it is more important than ever for the party to rebuild itself with an eye towards centrism—appealing to independent swing-state voters who have clearly showed a willingness to embrace Trumpism and will be unlikely to be won back by left-wing candidates.

Jesus is a character in a book. If he was never here…how would he come back? Seriously, those religions were written and commissioned by kings, emporers and male scholars. The king James version of the Bible was a commissioned re-writing of it in 1589 and along with it he wrote an equally extensive book on demonology. There are over 10,000 verifiable religions all made up by man to push a narrative and control the people. It's easier to have religion dictate your character when your unable to do so yourself.

Religious wars - the most atrocious acts against humanity have always had roots based on opposing beliefs in God.

Imagine there's no heaven

It's easy if you try

No hell below us

Above us, only sky

Imagine all the people

Livin' for today

Ah

Imagine there's no countries

It isn't hard to do

Nothing to kill or die for

And no religion, too

Imagine all the people

Livin' life in peace

You

You may say I'm a dreamer

But I'm not the only one

I hope someday you'll join us

And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions

I wonder if you can

No need for greed or hunger

A brotherhood of man

Imagine all the people

Sharing all the world

You

You may say I'm a dreamer

But I'm not the only one

I hope someday you'll join us

And the world will live as one

I don’t even feel it’s God. It’s religion, which is a human construct. I’m spiritual, but rarely use the word “God”. It’s too loaded. People use it to justify bad acts. Just like religion.

So true. I had multiple religions in my family and the all used their religion to justify their own misbehavior.

One of the biggest jokes people still fall for is the "Blessed Trinity," portioning the godhead off into three persons hundreds of years after the Christ, the "Son of God" they claim is actually God walking and talking, suffering and dying, was said to have been crucified.

Many years after leaving Catholicism, I became a Muslim, and despite the general ignorance many people possess about what Islam is about, suffice it to say that it's based in the same Abrahamic beliefs of Judaism and Christianity and has many similarities. It oppresses women and was created to rein in the barbaric behavior of society at the time, and to legitimize the military conquests of Mohammed. To this day, murder is committed in his name.

“God walking and talking, suffering and dying”….this made me laugh. It just feels preposterous. The way you wrote it brings the absurdity to life.

Thanks so much for your comment. Well said.

In the (edited) words of Lucretius and others since him called out religion as the biggest fraud ever perpetrated on humanity.

Well said! Fools think because they have a religion they are pure. This is the furthest from the truth.

I bet this isn’t even as batshit crazy this is going to get. Like to go back to the days when evangelists worst example was Tammy Fae Bakers cake face.

Right…..and Jim Bakker robbing the church. It was awful then, but seems tame compared to calling for genocide.

Ok. Lets concentrate on the facts. Shall we? Fact: Jesus has already established his kingdom in heaven. Fact: when Jesus came down to earth, he did away with the Hebrew laws and gave us new ones to follow. Fact: thou shalt not kill. (Of the famed 10 commandments )

Frank's avatar

Fact? Faith is the belief in that which cannot be proven. Facts are that which has been proven.

It is fact that pure water freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit. I can conduct experiments that confirm this. It is indisputable.

You have faith that Jesus has a Kingdom in Heaven. It may exist, but you cannot prove it.

Eileen M. Forbes's avatar

I respect ur opinion, tho we don’t share the same.

It’s also a fact that chump is a lying pos!

deadhead's avatar

Those aren't "facts" dingdong. If it was a fact, it wouldn't require faith.

Marycat2021's avatar

There is no proof "Jesus" ever existed.

That is scary. People follow this hateful “religious” person.

Marycat2021's avatar

This is why religion is dangerous bullshit. In the 21st century people still take this crap literally, which is evidence showing that we have not bred the stupidity out of ourselves.
